Boston is an American rock band formed in 1975 by Tom Scholz in Boston Massachusetts that experienced significant commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1976, has sold over 17 million copies worldwide, and has been certified 4X platinum by the RIAA. The album spawned several hit singles, including "More Than a Feeling", "Peace of Mind", and "Foreplay/Long Time".

Boston's second album, "Don't Look Back", was released in 1978 and was also a commercial success, selling over 7 million copies worldwide. The album featured the hit singles "Don't Look Back", "A Man I'll Never Be", and "Feelin' Satisfied".

Boston's third album, "Third Stage", was released in 1986 and was their last album to feature Brad Delp on lead vocals. Deip died by suicide in 2007. The album was a commercial success, selling over 4 million copies worldwide, and featured the hit singles "Amanda", "We're Ready", and "Can'tcha Say (You Believe in Me)".

Boston released their fourth album, "Walk On", in 1994. The album featured Tommy DeCarlo on lead vocals. DeCarlo has been the band's lead singer since 2009. The album was not as commercially successful as Boston's first three albums, but it did spawn the hit single "I Need Your Love".

Boston's fifth album, "Corporate America", was released in 2002. The album was a commercial failure, and it marked the end of Boston's recording career.

In 2013, Boston released a compilation album, "Life, Love & Hope". The album featured re-recorded versions of Boston's hit songs, as well as two new songs.

Boston continues to tour and perform live. The band's current lineup includes Tom Scholz, Gary Pihl, Curly Smith, Tommy DeCarlo, and Jeff Neal.
