Meta Extends Deadline for Google Workspace Free Tier Users to Upgrade

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, has extended the deadline for Google Workspace free tier users to upgrade to a paid plan.

The new deadline is June 1, 2023. Previously, users had until May 1, 2023, to upgrade.

Meta announced the extension in a blog post on Monday. The company said that it was extending the deadline to give users more time to transition to a paid plan.

Meta also said that it was making changes to the free tier to make it more appealing to users. The changes include increased storage limits and the ability to use custom email addresses.

Users who do not upgrade to a paid plan by June 1, 2023, will lose access to their Google Workspace data. Meta said that it will send users multiple reminders about the deadline before it takes effect.
